Zapier for Real Estate Brokerages: Connecting Everything to Everything Else

Years ago, for businesses and consumers alike, the hook for using internet-based applications was, wow, look at all the choices. Remember the old iPhone commercial tag, “There’s an app for that”? The idea was, whatever you need done, there’s a few services to choose from just for that one thing, whether it’s for your calendar or your camera. Now, though, there really are a million options for just about any need you or your business may have. Years after sites like Travelocity and Expedia more or less put all travel agencies out of business, there became so many of these sorts of sites that you need another, separate one like Kayak just to collect all the possible choices in one place. The same is true for your average, modern real estate brokerage: your agents likely have a thousand different applications to handle the huge amount of communication and organization necessary to success in our industry today. Aggregators, connectors and integrations have become essential in this technologically saturated era. That’s where Zapier for real estate brokerages makes its case as a wildly useful tool for navigating this otherwise complex web of apps — it bridges everything to everything else.

What is Zapier?

Simply put, Zapier will integrate with an app and connect it with any number of others it integrates with. It operates as a system of triggers and actions. A new lead just came into your TRIBUS brokerage CRM? Then that lead is added to a Google Sheet for easy reference. Or maybe they are pushed into Salesforce if that’s the CRM you’re most comfortable with. Or maybe you send them a video-embedded email from your BombBomb account. Or setup a RealScout saved search for them when they register. Or maybe all these things at once. Et cetera, et cetera. A full, direct integration between two products (something TRIBUS specializes in, given our platform’s nimble API system) may produce a more robust set of functionality than this kind of cause-and-effect system, but that’s easier said then done. Zapier allows you to start mixing and matching multiple apps from the jump, opening the door to all kinds of new, productive possibilities.

There are hundreds of products and services connected into Zapier, so there are an exponentially higher amount of functions you can accomplish with them. This includes numerous uses of Zapier for real estate brokerages, agents and teams. TRIBUS’ brokerage CRM, of course, is one of these, as we have recently officially “launched,” after having been taken out of beta. You can view many of the third-party vendors we connect with here. Now that we’re a bona fide, official Zapier integration, however, you can expect this list and our functionality within the platform to grow quickly moving forward.

Using TRIBUS With Zapier for Real Estate Brokerages

There are already countless ways you can take advantage of our connection with Zapier, and we’ll be adding more as we go along. (If you have something specific you want to do with this integration, just ask! We can probably make it happen.) Here are some of the functions you can expect to take advantage of right out of the gate with our integration with Zapier for real estate brokerages — and these are just the beginning.

Activity Triggers Within TRIBUS

  • New lead “raises their hand”: When a visitor on your real estate brokerage website fills out a form and registers, they are effectively “raising their hand” for one of your agents to engage with them. After this registration, they are added to your brokerage CRM, and you can push that lead into any other platform you use for optimal engagement — like adding them into one of Contactually’s relationship management “buckets.”
  • Lead requests a showing: When a lead schedules a showing of a property, that’s one of the best demonstrations of their intent to buy a home. Among many other actions, your agents can automatically add that showing to something like Google Calendar to make sure they keep up with all their appointments.
  • Collaborative search matches: Our collaborative search feature allows multiple leads to search for homes together, each automatically keeping the other updated about properties they’ve viewed and rated. This trigger will cause an activity when both buyers have rated a listing four or more stars. For instance, set up a Zap with Zapier’s native SMS app to send a text message to the agent as soon as this match occurs.

Actions Taken Within TRIBUS

  • Add a new lead in your TRIBUS brokerage CRM: Especially if you or your agents have a lot of lead generation platforms outside of your custom real estate brokerage website, using Zapier here to connect them with TRIBUS’ CRM is imperative. For example, if one of your agents has their own site hosted through Real Geeks, leads generated through that third-party service can still be funneled into our CRM.
  • Create a new note: Nurturing a lead means keeping a lot of notes about their progress through the sales funnel, and that can be a difficult thing to keep track of sometimes. So our Zapier integration takes some of that off your plate, by creating automatic lead notes in our CRM of their activity elsewhere. You could, for instance, create a note in the TRIBUS CRM signifying that a lead has submitted a new form through your HubSpot account.

Where once people cried for more options, more outlets, more productivity tools, now people want more interconnectivity between all those services they’ve come to love over the years. Zapier for real estate brokerages provides countless, simple integration between so many of your tools and services. It’s simply a no-brainer for a tech-savvy business — and TRIBUS couldn’t be happier to be an official vendor through them. We know what we do well; why not allow our customers to experience our services alongside other great tech providers? Expect great things to come when you plug TRIBUS into everything else you need for a successful business.
